July Fun!!!!

Some fun things we have done in July to keep us busy.........

Hoyt loves riding his new bike!!!  Kali still has her training wheels on...but hopefully before summer ends we won't need the training wheels!!!  That is our goal!!!

Kids enjoyed going to the Splash pad a couple times!

Tea Party

Chad and I went to the Jones County Fair in Monticello to see Gary Allen and Sheryl Crowe.  We had a wonderful time...it was a little hot...but a lot of fun!!!!

We attended Gavin Reed's Benefit!!!  It was an amazing turn out...so much love in one room!!!

Kids with their Gavin T-Shirts on!!!  We love you Gavin!!!  Keep fighting and stay strong!!!!

We attended Gene Barrette's Benefit.  They had a memorial ride for Amy's father-in-law!!!!
Normally Hoyt is a cowboy....but he can hang with the biker crowd too! :)  I think Amy is Hoyt's favorite biker!!! :)

Kali and all her missing teeth....she has lost a total of 6 teeth!!! It is a little hard for her to eat sweet corn, but she gives it a whirl because she loves it soooo much!!!!

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer.....I'm just soooo sad it is going so fast!!!!

4th of July

OH MY GOLLY....where did the month of July go????  It is the last day in July and I'm just now writing about the 4th of July....CRAZY!!!!  And, what is up with this weather we have been having.... mid 60's and 70's in JULY.....are you kidding me!!!  I like to have the windows open when I sleep, but I even had to shut them a couple nights ago because it was too cold....this is something I have never experience in Iowa!!!! Hopefully it at least gets in the 80's soon...I still want some pool weather!!!!

We went to Brad and Becky's for their annual 4th of July celebration!!!  Everyone had a great time and it was a gorgeous day!!!  Thanks Brad and Becky for hosting!!!

We ended up taking the kids to the fireworks downtown!  With a lot of fun in the sun, Hoyt could hardly keep his eyes open to watch them.  He watched the beginning of them but he couldn't stay awake and he zonked out in my arms!!!  It was a great 4th of July!!!

Girls Night Out!!!!

I know I'm skipping around lately....so sorry for that....next blog will be 4th of July.....

Friday July 19th we had a GIRLS NIGHT OUT (Angie, Erica, Laura and I).  We met at Lava and had the time of our lives!  I haven't laughed that hard and for that long in a VERY long time.  I really thought my abs would hurt the next day! :)  We always have fun at our GNO, but this just seemed super FUN!!  Maybe we just look forward to them and appreciate them so much since they are few and far between!!!!  LOVE YOU GIRLS!!!!

The picture clarity isn't the best....but it just shows we were having a good time and enjoying a few laughs!!!

Laura, Angie, Erica, and me!!!

This was a picture of all of us making a silly face that we all made in HS. Yah, I know that was a LONG time ago!!!!!

Gone Fishin'

On Sunday June 30th, we took the kids fishing at Grandma Dolores' ponds.  It was Hoyt's first time fishing...I know I can't believe Chad waited until he was three to take him out....Of course Hoyt was super pumped and excited about going!!!!

The kids did very well and had a really great time.  Hoyt constantly wanted to cast and reel in....I guess he learned that from his momma because that is how I like to fish as well....however, the ponds had a  lot of algae and Daddy was afraid that Hoyt's line would continue to get snagged...so there was a little disagreement between Dad and Hoyt...I'm sure it will be the first of many in all of their outdoor activities!!

It was a beautiful day fishing with the kiddos.  I thought the bugs would be terrible...but they weren't at all and we were very surprised since they have been awful this year!

Kali's first fish of the day!!!  She loves to touch them...it doesn't bother her at all!!!

This was Hoyt's first catch of the day...he was a little apprehensive to put his fingers in its mouth!

This bass was the fish we ended on....and Hoyt reeled it in.....and then let it go!!!!

Love this above picture!!!!

Hoyt is COMPLETELY potty trained!!!

It's official Hoyt is now pooping in the potty!!!!  He has been potty trained for a few months now, but the poop training he didn't want any part of!!!!  He has been doing it for a couple weeks now with no accidents...we are so proud of him!!!  Once he got over the fear, it was a piece of cake.

Here are a couple pictures, of Hoyt's babysitter giving him a prize out of the prize bucket and a Super Star Sticker when he did it the first time at her house on 6/24/2013.

YAHHHHHH, Hoyt can now go to 3 year old preschool!!!!  AWESOME!!!!!!

Father's Day

I accidentally missed posting about Father's Day.....below are some of the gifts that the kids made Chad for his "BIG" Day.

Kali made the hand print shirt!

Hoyt made the foot print shirt at daycare!

Kali made Daddy the bracelet and picture, and Hoyt made him the trophy at daycare.

Kali answered the questions about her dad at BASP all by herself...I laughed my butt off.  I love that she put Chad was 49!!! :)

On Father's Day we went to Mom and Dad's to celebrate!!

Happy Father's Day Dad!!!

Kali and Jackson

Aunt Vicki and Austin!

Katelyn and Grandma!

Hoyt loves horses...Gma and Gpa have horses they are right next door.  I think Hoyt could have been outside all afternoon watching them!!!
