Chad, Dolores and I went down on Sunday to visit the triplets. They are getting so cute and filling out more and more everyday!! I held Ben the whole time while I was there, Dolores held CJ, and mommy kangaroo held Austin. It is amazing how much Austin and Ben are starting to look a like. As of right now, Austin and Ben look like Mommy and CJ looks like Cory.
As of Sunday Austin is now 3 lbs!!!! YIPPEE! What a milestone. Ben was 5 lbs 15 oz. and CJ was 6 lbs 5.5 oz. It is remarkable how far they have come. The BEST news of the day was that depending how CJ's ROP test (test on their eyes) comes back, CJ may get to come home in 7-10 days. That is the earliest any way!!! Basically with the ROP levels they needed to increase oxygen saturation to decrease the levels ROP. If his ROP comes back good, then they can start to decrease his oxygen levels and see how he does with that.
Before any of the triplets get to come home, Laura and Cory will also need to stay over at the hospital to learn about the oxygen machines they will be taking home with them.

Hoyt had his 9 month wellness check yesterday. Doctor Angenand said he was very healthy. His blood work came back great as an 11 (whatever that means) but said he is getting the right nutritional value. From his 6 month appointment he had only gained about a pound. He now weighs 18 lbs 11 oz (17%). They think they may have messed up his measurement last month as they had him growing two inches at his 6 month check and the measurement yesterday said he didn't grow any....so she thinks he probably grew 1 inch last check and 1 inch this one. He was 27 1/4 inches (15%). So we may have another little guy in the family!!!! I guess time will tell.

It was too cold outside to do much else so we stayed in and visited some family!!! On Friday night, Chad wasn't feeling the best so I took the kiddos to Grandma and Grandpa Holub's. It was nice spending time with them. Hoyt got his first ride on a fire truck!!!
We played at home!!! I don't know why we spend so much on toys. The kids had a lot of fun palying with a balloon!!
And we spent a lot of time at Grandma and Grandpa Washburn's house this weekend. Savannah and Hoyt tried to support the Bears by wearing blue and orange, but unfortunately, the Bears didn't pull through. :( Maybe next year!!!!

Brianna got inducted into the National Honor Society on Wednesday afternoon. We were all so very proud of her!!! She had her biggest fans there to congratulate her, Michelle, Chad, me, Grandma Dolores, and Dixie and Bill (Michelle's Mom and Dad). After the ceremony we went out to eat at the Olive Garden!! It was a great afternoon! We are very proud of you Brianna! We love you!!!
On Tuesday 1/18/2011 Hoyt was officially 9 months old. I can't believe it. He is such a wonderful baby. Last week he started pulling himself up on the furniture. He thinks he is pretty BIG when he does it. He can crawl so fast that we had to start putting up the baby gate. He sees something he likes, he wants to go get it!!! He now has 2 bottom teeth. We have tried a couple times to introduce the puffs, but so far he doesn't like it and starts to gag. So we will keep with his baby food. He loves that...holy cow the boy can eat his veggies and fruits. His favorite fruit is definitely bannanas and he really doesn't like apple sauce very well. He loves squash, sweet potatoes and green beans and he definitely could go without peas....(Gee I wonder where he gets that!).
Last Sunday I went with Laura and Jackson to visit the triplets. They have all doubled their sizes. I was able to hold both Ben and CJ for the very first time. They were both so precious. It was a wonderful visit.
Laura had some exciting news to tell me last night (1/20/11)....Ben is now in the 5 lb club just like CJ. She was also able to nurse Ben for the first time. This is the first time she has nursed one of the triplets, so this is a HUGE milestone. Keep on progressing little men!!! They are truely miracles!!

Last week we were very busy taking care of a sick child. Hoyt had his first fever, ear infection, and he had his first tooth come through on Sunday 1/9/11. Poor little guy didn't know what hit him. He was home from daycare for 3 whole days. Hoyt didn't even look like himself. He was also fighting a terrible cold, bad cough, and was very congested. He couldn't keep the first medicine the doctors perscribed him down, so we had to get another one for him. It was not a good week for the lil guy. By the end of the week he had his 2nd bottom tooth coming in. So I'm not sure if it was from the meds or the teeth, but his little bottom was so tender. Lets just say that he was sick from head to toe! :(
But by Friday, Hoyt was back to himself again!! We picked up Jackson so Kali could have a play date and we also wanted to give Laura a little break so she could visit the triplets since Cory was out of town. Everyone had a wonderful time. Here are some pictures that the kids took; they didn't turn out too bad!!!
On Saturday we went over to Brad and Becky's for my niece Taylor's 12th birthday. It was a very relaxing time...hanging out with family and having some great home made chili (made by Uncle Brad) and some awesome brownies and pineapple upside down cake (made by Aunt Becky). Hoyt loved the whipped cream. Brad was feeding it to him while he sat on Uncle Brian's lap. Hoyt would groan as Brad wasn't feeding it to him fast enough. However, I didn't get any pictures as my camera was out in the truck and it was freezing cold and not working properly.
I did get some good pictures of Hoyt getting some love from Grandma and Grandpa Holub!
On Friday, Kali had her first friend stay the night. Kali was so excited to have her best freind, Kathryn spend the night. Kali and Kathryn have been wanting this for a long time and I think everyday in December, either Jill or I were asked If they could do a sleep over!!!
The girls got a long great!!! They did a lot of playing, dancing, and dressing up! I definitely think this will be the first of many sleep overs. Kali was already talking about the next time Kathryn spends the night. Also, she said she couldn't wait to be Kathryn's guest! Hint Hint Jill!!! LOL. I asked Kali if she thought she could handle spending the night at Jill's house with mommy not there and she said, "Of course Mommy I could handle it." So then I reminded her that after the girls had been sleeping for a few hours Kali had tried getting in bed with us and that I had to go and sleep with Kathryn and Kali until Kali fell back to sleep. I asked her what she would do if she was at Jill's house and she said, "Mommy, duh I would just get into bed with Austin and Jill!!!"....So I think we may have to wait on that!!!
On Thursday, it was Senior Parent's Night for Brianna. Brianna decided to give wrestling cheerleading a try for her senior year because she didn't want to go out for basketball this year. Brianna said she really is enjoying it!!! She did a great job!!!
I asked Kali if she was having fun watching Sissy cheer and Kali said, "Mom, Sissy isn't cheering she is just sitting down doing this." and she motioned like she was pounding on the mat...so I think Kali was expecting a little more of sissy shaking her booty!!! LOL!
I can't believe it is already 2011! It is crazy how fast 2010 went!!
We ended up staying in to bring in the New Year. We had a great time hanging out with the kiddos!! Kali got all glamed up in her jewels!!! She said she was Hannah Montanna for the evening!!! She loved drinking out of a fancy glass. Hoyt was his happy self!!! I hope all of you had a happy and safe New Year!!! I hope all your dreams and wishes come true for the upcoming year!!
