Under the Weather......

I can't wait until January is over.  I am hopeful that February is much better for us!  We have had a lot of sickness.  Kali has had the flu and strep in the past two weeks.  I also had the flu.  It was awful.  Both Daddy and Hoyt have remained healthy...so hopefully that continues.

Grandpa Don has also had a rough January.  He has had one stint put in and has had two minor strokes due to blockages.  He still hasn't had surgery on his stomach because the Doctors don't think he is stable enough.  Hopefully, the doctors are able to find what is the cause of all of this!  Get Well Grandpa!!!!

We finally were able to get out of the house this weekend for a little bit of fun!  While Dad was coyote hunting with his friends, I took the kids to our nephew, Hunter's Conference Wrestling meet in Central City.  HUNTER got 1st place!!!!!  He still remains undefeated!!!!  WAY TO GO HUNTER!!!!

I was a little nervous to take Hoyt, but he surprised me...he just sat on my lap and Aunt Savannah's lap and enjoyed watching all the activity.  He did however, think the guy in the bleacher a head of us had hair like Daddy...so every once in a while I would catch him trying to touch the man's hair!!!  It was pretty cute!  Luckily, the guy didn't mind!

Kali had a great time too because she was able to see her very good friend Kathryn and her brother Tayten!  After the wrestling meet, we headed to Jill and Austin's so that I could see their new house and for the kids to have a play date....ok and for us mom's to have an adult play date!   Their house is beautiful and very open and spacious!!!  It was so nice to visit with Jill and her family.  It was so nice to get out of the house and have some fun!!!!  It was very much NEEDED!

Playing in the Snow!!!

Wow is Kali a wild woman!!! SHE LOVED PLAYING IN THE SNOW on Sunday.  She was doing snow angels, body slams/jumping in the snow like it was water, trying to make snow balls, running and leaping...she was definitely a sight to see!  NOW Hoyt however was a little different than Kali...he acted like he couldn't move.  I would put him in an area and he would just stay there!  He did like the snow if he was on solid ground, like the driveway, and could reach over and touch the snow...but walking was a different story....but gosh did he looked adorable all bundled up!!!

 UH OH!!! I got snow on my mittens! :)

I was happy that the kids were able to play in the snow once this winter....so now the snow can go away and not come back!!!  I would be completely fine with that! :)

Catching UP!

Its been a long time since us mom's (me, Laura, and Suz) and the kiddos got together for a sleep over!  The kids got along so well!  It was very strange for me but Hoyt hung out sometimes with the BIG Kids, Kali and Jackson.  My baby is growing up!!! Sniff Sniff!!!  He also was able to have some play time with the triplets...but what it felt like he did most of the time was eat!  Anytime the triplets ate, Hoyt ate, when Kali and Jackson ate, Hoyt ate....he definitely had a bottomless pit! 

Kali and Jackson had a great time hanging out, watching movies, taking a bath, playing with balloons, playing hide-n-seek!  They love spending time together...and even tho at times they may act like siblings and get on each others nerves, you can tell they really enjoy playing together!

I LOVE THIS PICTURE!!!

The triplets love to ride in their double stroller and they all take turns when it is close to nap/bed time.  The stroller ride doesn't seem to put Austin to sleep but it definitely puts Ben and CJ out! 

I definitely think Ben is a lot like Hoyt!  They both are little monkeys; that are into everything and are pretty partial to their mommy's!  CJ is very laid back and go with the flow!  Austin is just a little sweetheart!  It is amazing how all can have their unique personality!

Taylor is now a Teenager!!!

Happy Birthday Taylor!  Taylor was 13 on January 8th and we celebrated her birthday on Saturday.  She has definitely matured this last year....I can't believe how grown up she looks!!!

Hoyt found a new best friend too!  He loved Taylor on Saturday!  He started kind of whining and he was running in my direction...he is a little bit of a momma's boy, but instead of stopping at me he passed me and went right to Taylor.  Actually, he climbed the baby gate and was putting his arms in the air until Taylor lifted him up!  I was quite surprised!

New Years 2012

On New Years, both of Brianna's grandparents, Dixie and Bill and Dolores and Don and Chad and I went to see Brianna serving at Shuey's in Shueyville.  It was really fun seeing Brianna in action!  She did a very good job!

Here are a couple of other pictures from break of Kali and Hoyt in their aprons.  They attempted to bake some sugar cookies with dad....however, the recipe did not call for the correct amount of flour so they didn't turn out right.

Here are a couple pictures right before Christimas of Jill, Angie, Erica, Laura, and I out for dinner and drinks.  I think it has been a few years that we were all together with no kiddos and out on the town!  Okay we went to one place.....but that is out on the town for us!!!!  It doesn't happen very often, so we try to make the most of it!!!

Photo Shoot!

Brianna watched Kali one day while over winter break!  Kali had an absolute terrific time hanging out with her BIG SIS!!!!  They did some crafts, played games, watched a movie, made snow that Aunt Tasha got Kali for Christmas, played dress up, and Brianna gave Kali a complete make over hair, nails, and makeup!!!  I know this was Kali's favorite part of the day spent with Brianna!  Brianna even took Kali outside and did a photo shoot.  The pictures Brianna took turned out AWESOME.  If Brianna doesn't make it in Radiology...which of course she will.....she can always fall back on Photography along with Cosmetology!  I guess Brianna is a jack of all trades!!!
