Gangnam Style

OK...I think I have been living in a black hole for a long time.  Kali was in a dance clinic the week of March 4th and then they had a recital on Friday the 8th  put on by the CP High School Dance Team, and they danced to Gangnam Style.  I had not heard of this song until Kali started singing it!!! LOL!!!  I didn't even know that there were dance moves that went a long with it until Savannah told me!! LOL!!

Savannah did Kali's hair....She looked adorable.  She loves to be pampered by Savannah!!!

Kali had so much fun performing and watching all the other performances.  She sat with all the other little dancers and you could hear her hoot and hollering!!  Hoyt had a fun time watching all of the dancing.  When one dance would get over, he would say, "One more?"  It was cute.  He is also understanding the dance world and before the HS dancers would start to dance he would say "5 ,6 7, 8"  LOL It was too cute!!!

Happy Birthday Kali!!!!

Happy 6th Birthday Kali!!!  We celebrated Kali's birthday Saturday March 2nd, a day before her actual birthday.  She had a Monster High Birthday theme this year!  Our little girl is growing up!!! 

 

 

 

Thank you so much Savannah for doing Kali's hair and make up!!!  It made Kali's day.  The sock bun turned out awesome!!!

And a Bike from Mom and Dad.  Kind of a funny story about the bike.  Daddy and Hoyt came to the party after decorating because Hoyt was taking a nap.  Hoyt immediately goes up to Kali when he got to the party and says, "Kali, wanna see your bike."  Some of Hoyt's words aren't the clearest...but of course this was spoken very clearly.  We tried to convince her that Daddy had brought some ice...but Kali wasn't buying it!!  Oh, Hoyt!!!!

Snow Bunny

Another meaning for Snow Bunny........

The kids made this at the babysitters on one of their snow days this week.  I'm hoping they were thinking of Easter and the snow being behind us!!!  After this week......I am so ready for SPRING!!!

Here are a couple more snow pictures to share at our house playing in the snow!!!!  The kids were jumping on the trampoline with snow on it....why not!?!?!?!

State Wrestling 2013

February 13-16, Alburnett had State Wrestling in Des Moines!  Chad and Jamie went down to watch Hunter for Team State Duals and Alburnett finished 1st!!! Yippee!!! What an accomplishment and then Thursday-Saturday was individual State Wrestling.  Hunter did amazing and got 1st!!!!  2nd time STATE CHAMP as a Sophomore!!!  Congratulations Hunter!!!

The kids had a lot of fun and enjoyed watching Hunter wrestle but patience is not their best virtue....so keeping them entertained at each session was a little challenging but we made it through!

Kali and Hoyt didn't make the celebration at the hotel conference room.....well they were there...but didn't know it!  Thinking I was a bad parent for not having the kids in our room.....I didn't feel so bad as there were other kids that joined them....Kathryn, Tayten and Cooper!!!
