Last Sunday I went with Laura and Jackson to visit the triplets. They have all doubled their sizes. I was able to hold both Ben and CJ for the very first time. They were both so precious. It was a wonderful visit.
Laura had some exciting news to tell me last night (1/20/11)....Ben is now in the 5 lb club just like CJ. She was also able to nurse Ben for the first time. This is the first time she has nursed one of the triplets, so this is a HUGE milestone. Keep on progressing little men!!! They are truely miracles!!

Last week we were very busy taking care of a sick child. Hoyt had his first fever, ear infection, and he had his first tooth come through on Sunday 1/9/11. Poor little guy didn't know what hit him. He was home from daycare for 3 whole days. Hoyt didn't even look like himself. He was also fighting a terrible cold, bad cough, and was very congested. He couldn't keep the first medicine the doctors perscribed him down, so we had to get another one for him. It was not a good week for the lil guy. By the end of the week he had his 2nd bottom tooth coming in. So I'm not sure if it was from the meds or the teeth, but his little bottom was so tender. Lets just say that he was sick from head to toe! :(
But by Friday, Hoyt was back to himself again!! We picked up Jackson so Kali could have a play date and we also wanted to give Laura a little break so she could visit the triplets since Cory was out of town. Everyone had a wonderful time. Here are some pictures that the kids took; they didn't turn out too bad!!!
On Saturday we went over to Brad and Becky's for my niece Taylor's 12th birthday. It was a very relaxing time...hanging out with family and having some great home made chili (made by Uncle Brad) and some awesome brownies and pineapple upside down cake (made by Aunt Becky). Hoyt loved the whipped cream. Brad was feeding it to him while he sat on Uncle Brian's lap. Hoyt would groan as Brad wasn't feeding it to him fast enough. However, I didn't get any pictures as my camera was out in the truck and it was freezing cold and not working properly.
I did get some good pictures of Hoyt getting some love from Grandma and Grandpa Holub!
On Friday, Kali had her first friend stay the night. Kali was so excited to have her best freind, Kathryn spend the night. Kali and Kathryn have been wanting this for a long time and I think everyday in December, either Jill or I were asked If they could do a sleep over!!!
The girls got a long great!!! They did a lot of playing, dancing, and dressing up! I definitely think this will be the first of many sleep overs. Kali was already talking about the next time Kathryn spends the night. Also, she said she couldn't wait to be Kathryn's guest! Hint Hint Jill!!! LOL. I asked Kali if she thought she could handle spending the night at Jill's house with mommy not there and she said, "Of course Mommy I could handle it." So then I reminded her that after the girls had been sleeping for a few hours Kali had tried getting in bed with us and that I had to go and sleep with Kathryn and Kali until Kali fell back to sleep. I asked her what she would do if she was at Jill's house and she said, "Mommy, duh I would just get into bed with Austin and Jill!!!"....So I think we may have to wait on that!!!
On Thursday, it was Senior Parent's Night for Brianna. Brianna decided to give wrestling cheerleading a try for her senior year because she didn't want to go out for basketball this year. Brianna said she really is enjoying it!!! She did a great job!!!
I asked Kali if she was having fun watching Sissy cheer and Kali said, "Mom, Sissy isn't cheering she is just sitting down doing this." and she motioned like she was pounding on the mat...so I think Kali was expecting a little more of sissy shaking her booty!!! LOL!
I can't believe it is already 2011! It is crazy how fast 2010 went!!
We ended up staying in to bring in the New Year. We had a great time hanging out with the kiddos!! Kali got all glamed up in her jewels!!! She said she was Hannah Montanna for the evening!!! She loved drinking out of a fancy glass. Hoyt was his happy self!!! I hope all of you had a happy and safe New Year!!! I hope all your dreams and wishes come true for the upcoming year!!
We had a wonderful time at Grandma Roseberry's. Hoyt found a new girlfriend, my Aunt Sue. Hoyt would smile and get all bashful everytime he saw her. He about jumped out of Laura's arms just to get to Aunt Sue. I got a couple pictures of Hoyt and Sue, but they didn't really show how giddy he was around her!
We had a great time with family and it was also nice meeting our cousin Aaron's new wife Christine! Welcome to our family!!!
