HOLY COW JACKSON IS 5!!!!

To celebrate Jackson's 5th birthday, Kali and I took Jackson to Chuck E Cheese on Saturday!  Kali and Jackson had a great time and played so nicely together.  It was kind of nice going there during the Iowa game as there was a lot less people there!!! Kali and Jackson had a lot of fun playing together....just the two of them.  I know it was nice for me, because I could just watch them and help them out and not have to run around after Hoyt!!!  He will have his day there soon enough!!

I just can't believe how BIG Kali and Jackson are getting!  It is crazy how time flies!!!  

What an adorable Hawkeye fan!  For his birthday we got Jackson a Herkey the Hawk Pillow Pet for his Iowa Hawkeye bedroom! 

The kids LOVED air hockey!  It is one of my favorites too!!!!

And of course we had to see Chucky!!  What a cute picture!!!

There were some other kids that were a little scared of this Chucky, however Kali and Jackson told the kids that it was okay, this was just a robot and not the real Chucky!! LOL!!

After Laura was done finishing up some errands for Jackson's party, she joined us!

While we were at Chucky E Cheese, Dad and Hoyt were at Aunt Tasha's house watching the Iowa game.  Hoyt was loving Tasha's stairs! I really think he may be a stunt man!  He would stand at the first step and fake stumbling and falling down...the more we laughed, the more he wanted to do it.  Hoyt also loved playing with Tasha's cats....I'm not sure how much they liked him, but he sure liked them!!! :)  In the below picture it looks like Hoyt is chewing the cat out, but he was giving him a kiss and ending it with muah!!!! LOL



Are you ready for some FOOTBALL!!!!

Football is definitely in the air!!!  It just smells like football weather!  Last Friday 9/9/2011, we took Kali and Hoyt to the Alburnett/West Branch High School football game!  It was a great game!  Alburnett won 42-35....so far Alburnett is undefeated!  Savannah was also performing poms during the half time of the varsity game.  They performed AWESOME under the lights!!!  Way to go Savannah!!

We were a little late to the Varsity game because Kali was exhausted after a long week of preschool and took a little nap before we left for the game.  She is a little like her Daddy and needs her sleep!  I don't think Kali would have wanted to go, but she knew her friends Kathryn and Tayten were also going to the game and she didn't want to miss out!  She hasn't seen them since she started preschool!  The kids had so much fun!  Hoyt was definitely a Daddy's boy during the game.  Hoyt must already know that football and hunting are Daddy's favorites and he needed the male bonding!

There are a lot of pictures as Kali and Hoyt were also able to hang out with their cousins, Hunter, Alexi, and Shayden.....sorry I didn't get any pictures with Hunter.....I swear it never fails that I forget one nephew! :(

On Saturday after the Iowa game, Jackson came over for a play date with Kali.  Yes....yes...I know Kali is still wearing her cheerleading outfit, but she wanted to wear it for the Iowa football game!!!  Again, one of our favorite activities is riding the golf cart!!!  Kali is getting a lot better at steering!!! 

Labor Day Weekend!

We started off Labor Day weekend by going to Aunt Tasha's house and watching the Iowa game.  When the Iowa game was over, we watched a 3D movie on Tasha's new 3D flat screen TV.  The glasses really help!  They aren't the most flattering but they do work!!!

On Sunday, Brianna and Brent came over for dinner.  Kali loves to wrestle with Sissy and Aunt Savannah!  However, it takes two of them to get Kali down.  They did give her a taste of her own medicine!  Kali is tough but not when it is two on one!  THE BIG BULLY'S!!!!

Hoyt just loves riding on the golf cart.  When daddy grabs Hoyt's hat, he definitely knows they are going for an R I D E!!!  He is even starting to say golf cart!  It is sooooo cute!  I can hear Hoyt chattering all the way down the road.  He could stay on that thing for hours!!!

On Monday, we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Holub's to hang out with family and enjoy the beautiful September day.  It was so nice out....I wish we could bottle this weather up!!

Daddy and Uncle Brian were the champs at Bags.  They were undefeated.  Hopefully, Hoyt learns how to do bags from Daddy as Mommy wasn't on her game!

We had a great Labor Day weekend!!!
 

KALI'S FIRST DAY OF PRESCHOOL!!!!!!!!!

Kali's first day of Preshool at Center Point was on Monday August 29th!!!!  WE WERE ALL SOOOOOO EXCITED.  She goes to preschool everyday Monday-Friday from 12:20 to 3:20 in the afternoon.  Before and after preschool she spends her day at the Pointer Pup Care at the Center Point Elementary.  It is nice that everything is at the school!!!  They do keep the preschool kids separate from the other elementary kids!!!

Kali had a very busy first day of school.  When Daddy picked her up at 4:45 she was asleep once he got to the Toddville exit and continued to sleep through the night. She did wake up about 9:30 to come into our bed, but that was it.  She had no dinner or anything.  I guess getting up around 6:15 in the morning and not getting naps since she has the afternoon preschool sessions, wore her out.......so this is all an adjustment for her.  I had to wait until the following morning to hear about her day.....I was a little bummed as I was soooooo anxious to hear all about it.  She LOVES it!!!  She has met a few friends, Lilly, Micoh (sp), Ava and there are twin boys in her class.  She told Savannah that she thinks she is in love!!!!  OH DEAR!!!  I definitely think we are going to have our hands full...to say the least!!!!

I'm sure we will have many more stories to share about Kali and preschool!!!!  Her teacher, Mrs. Shellhorne, called and left a message telling me that Kali had a great first week of preschool.  She said she is very pleasant and a delight to have in class.  I hope the nice remarks continue!!!!!

Catch UP!!!

It has been a LONG time since I have sent out a post.  I had been working from 50-72 hours a week for the past 3 weeks since our Union workers were on strike and many of our workers had to fly out to the East coast to cover the union jobs.  Luckily, I was able to stay here, but we had many long days covering our teammates work loads as well as our own. This week was my first normal week.

Anyway, I'm gonna try to catch everyone up on what has been going on in our busy lives! :)

Kali helped Daddy bake Peanut Butter cookies for the first time.  They were yummy!!!!

We went swimming at Brad and Becky's pool!!!  The kids had a blast!!!!  Thank You Holub family!!!

Kali had a Meet and Greet for Preschool on August 18th at Center Point!!!  My baby is growing up!!! Sniff Sniff!

Chad's cousin Adam got married.  The kids had a blast at the reception.  They were dancing machines.  Poor Hoyt, was dancing and tripped over a little boys leg and he hit his nose on the floor and got a bloody nose.  Poor little guy!!! But, it didn't slow him down!!! LOL

For the wedding, Chad's cousins from Colorado were in town, so the next day we headed to his uncle Jeff's house and had a BBQ and family get together.  Hoyt loves sweet corn!!!!  Brianna tooked these pictures.  They are awesome!!!!

Brianna started her first day at Kirkwood on Monday August 22nd.  She is living at the Kirkwood apartments.  We all think she will like this a lot better than the old farm house.  Her first week of class she was already working with cadeavers!!!  YIKES!!!! 

Brianna got a new car a 2003 Saturn.  It is REALLY nice!!!!   FINALLY, one good thing that happened to Brianna this summer!!!!  A few pictures of the kids with their BIG sissy!!!
