Soccer Season Fall 2013

Kali did AWESOME this year in soccer.  Her team came a long way from the first to the last game.  They had a total of 8 games.  I believe she scored 5 goals this season.  It took until her 3rd game to score a goal, and then I think she scored a goal almost every game after that.   They didn't have many practices in pre-season due to the heat, so most of their practices was done during the game.

 I didn't think Kali would like soccer because of all the running, but she proved me wrong!  She said, "I don't like soccer, I LOVE IT!!!!  Towards the end of the first game, she put her arms in the air and shouted something like, "Is this game almost over???"  After the game, I asked her what she meant by that and she said, I was tired of the other team scoring! LOL...I thought she was tired and wanted the game to be over! Ha!!!  When the game was over, she said, my legs are burning!!! :)

We really enjoyed Kali in her first season of soccer.  Kali was very aggressive, quick, and hustled.  She really understood the concept of the game...more than I thought she would.  We just need to work a little more on the fundamentals!!!  She definitely wants to go out for soccer in the spring!!!

Some of Kali's fans....there were many more fans and family that attended her games, but I didn't always think about getting pictures.  Laura, Jackson, the triplets, Grandma Roseberry, Uncle Brian, and Clint also came to support Kali!!!  Thanks so much to all of you for coming...Kali loves having an audience and fans cheering her on!

I will get some soccer pictures up soon since the season just got over, but Chad took his camera to many of the games and I haven't had a chance to look thru them yet....he gets kind of picture happy!!! :)

September 18, Kali had school pictures.  Hoyt won't get his taken until late October because his class didn't have school that day to a teacher in-service/learning day.  Kali decided to go with straight hair for pics this year....I think she looks sooooo old!

Happy Birthday, Jackson!!!  He turned 7 on September 18th. We missed Jackson's birthday, so we had a play date on the following Saturday after and went to Mc D's play station and hung out at our house for the day!!!  The kids had a blast!

 

 

Jackson must have been a great boy this year as his mom and dad got him the BEST PRESENT a boy could ask for!!!  He looks like a stud on his new ride!!!  Check out the spikes on his helmet!

If you can tell by Kali's face, she wasn't too happy about not being able to get a ride!!!  Sorry honey, safety first!!! I know us mom's can be so mean sometimes! :(

September 28th, we went to Tasha and Brian's house to watch the Iowa football game.  The cutes football fans ever!!!  Nash just got his first haircut a couple days before....isn't it the cutest!?!?!  Nash is such a good little baby.....he is growing so fast!

 

 

2013 Cheer Clinic

On Friday September 13th, Kali performed with 135 other Junior Cheerleaders, during the half time of JV Football game.  The Jr Cheerleaders did amazing.  I think they learned 4 cheers and a dance in a 2 hour clinic the night before.

The kids had a great time at the game.  It was our first CPU football game since we have been going to Alburnett to watch Hunter (Chad's nephew) play football. 

 

There was this boy in Kali's grade, that liked you could really tell that liked  Kali at the game (I won't mention his name)...and he kept taking Hoyt's football to get Kali's attention...sometimes the boy would play with Hoyt and others he would just play/talk with Kali.  You could tell that Hoyt was getting a little irritated with the boy...both being protective of his sister and his football..and  he was just getting tired from the long week....in the corner of my eye I see the boy getting in the hiking position to hike the ball and Hoyt running up to the boy and pushing him over....it caught the boy off guard since the boy was a lot bigger than Hoyt ...of course, I told Hoyt that he shouldn't push and I made sure the boy was okay, but it was quite comical at the same time....just because I know Hoyt was being protective of Kali. 

 

We left the game early and we were in our car, and Kali said, "I think Hoyt liked "so and so." and I said, "you think so???" KNOWING 100% that Hoyt didn't like him at all...and Hoyt was shaking his head no, but it was dark and we couldn't see...and Kali was like, "Don't you Hoyt?"  and Hoyt goes, "Kali, I said NO!" I'm sure this won't be the first time that Kali/Hoyt will be protective of each other!!!

Alburnett Pirates Football

We have gone to 2 Alburnett Football games this season to watch, Chad's nephew, Hunter play.  So far they have won their first two games. 

1st game was against North Linn.  Alburnett beat them pretty badly, but I can't remember the score.

 

Kali, Hoyt, and Hunter Reed.  Hunter is in Kali's class this year!!!

 

2nd game Alburnett played Lisbon and it was an awesome game, Alburnett ended up winning in sudden death!!!  It was AWESOME!
