Trick or Treat

We had a wonderful time trick or treating this year.  Kali was a beautiful Hocus Pocus witch and Hoyt was a cute little turtle.

For Halloween this year we went trick or treating out at Laura and Cory's new development.  Normally, we go out to Mom and Dad's new addition in Center Point, but my mom was leaving for training in New York, so we had to change our tradition.  This year the treats started off a little slow, as there wasn't a lot of  house lights on, but it picked up!  In the end, the kids came away with a lot of candy!   Mr. Hoyt was a trooper through the entire process, but he got a little tired.  It's hard for turtles to keep up with the BIG kids!

I think this was the first event where both Grandma Holub and Grandma Washburn weren't able to make the event.  But luckily both Grandpa's came and Grandma Roseberry was also able to make it!!!

Carving Pumpkins!

This was our first year carving pumpkins with Kali!! We all had a lot of fun.  Kali couldn't wait to see what was inside the pumpkins. She kept saying, "I love touching the gunky stuff!" She was a trooper until the very end and liked getting her hands dirty.  Kali decided she would rather eat the pumpkin seeds vs planting them, so I'm going to attempt to cook them!

Hoyt was so caught up in all of the pumpkin carving that he had to take a little snooze!  I think he will enjoy this more next year!!!!

Hoyt is 6 months old!

Hoyt celebrated is half birthday on Monday 10/18/2010.  I was lucky enough to get to spend the whole day with him since the babysitter was on vacation.  I can't believe he is already 6 months old!  He really enjoys eatting his cereal now.  I can't feed him fast enough.  He is starting to be a BIG boy and sitting up!!!  He is also is starting to grab his toes!!!  He is truely a very happy and content little guy.  We couldn't ask for a better baby! Happy 6 month birthday Hoyt!

FALL FUN

On Sunday we went to Peck's Fall Fun Days.  It was a beautiful day for the whole family to enjoy.  The kids could trick or treat through the nursery with their costumes.  Since we ordered our costumes online this year we had to resort to last years costumes.  Kali was a Iowa Hawkeye Cheerleader, Hoyt was a skeleton, and Jackson was a cowboy!!  Peck's also offered face painting, games, hayrides, and other fun activities.  There were tons of kids that came out to enjoy the wonderful day.  We had a great time!!!

We were making fun of Laura that she may get lost in the pumpkin patch with her 3 little pumpkins in her belly!!  ;)  JK Laura.  You look amazing @ 24 weeks!!!

A couple more pictures of our little characters!!!!

Alburnett Homecoming Parade and CPU Homecoming Pictures

Friday afternoon Grandma Washburn and I took the kids to the Alburnett Homecoming parade and festivities.  Kali was excited to see a lot of her daycare friends in the parade.  We also got to watch Kathryn Coufal, one of Kali's best friends, preform a dance/cheer before the BIG game.  Kathryn did a wonderful job.  Kali really enjoyed watching her, but would have preferred to have been right by her side!  Unfortunately I forgot to take any pictures of the dance routine.

Here is Savannah (Chad's sister) and her friend Becka showing their school spirit at the parade.

Saturday night we went to Brianna's grandma's house (our normal tradition before a H.S. dance) to take pictures of Brianna and gang.

Brianna and her friend Tess

Brianna and Brent AKA Barbie and Ken :)

After the pictures, we went to Grandma and Grandpa Holub's for dinner.  We had a wonderful time.  Some of us had too much fun and were all tuckered out!!!! :)

Center Point Homecoming Week

Homecoming week started off with the Junior and Senior's powder puff game on Monday!  It ended up a tie 6 to 6!  But the Seniors looked a lot more agressive and more stylish than the Juniors.  Sorry, I forgot my camera that night so no pictures to post. :(

Wednesday Night we had the Homecomming parade.  Senior's theme was the Flinestones.  Look at Brianna's school spirit!!!  Doesn't she look adorable!!!  She definitely goes all out!

Like Mother like daughter......you can definitely tell that Brianna has followed in her mother's footsteps partaking in dressing up!  The Senior mom's did a float this year (as they have in years past).  This year they were Super MOM's!!!!  I think they were the best float of the parade!!  I don't know if they enjoy dressing up or embarrassing their daughters more......

Here are some additonal pictures of Brianna, Kali, Jackson, & Hoyt! It was such a beautiful day for a parade!  We all had a great time!!  Daddty didn't think that Hoyt would like the sounds of the sirens, but Hoyt didn't mind it a bit.

Wedding Excitement

On Friday 10/1/2010, we went to Elon and Matt's wedding.  Here are a few pictures of the night.  All the kids had a wonderful time.

Here are some beautiful ladies, Jill, Kathryn, and Kali!

The best part of the night was after the dollar dance Kali comes up to me and asks, "Mom, do I get my dollar back!"  It was really cute!!!
