Splash Pad at Palo

On Sunday, Brianna, Savannah, Kali, Jackson, Hoyt and I went to the Palo Splash Pad for the first time.  We called Jill and she was able to bring Kathryn and Tayten down too!!  (Sorry didn't get any pictures of Kathryn and Tayten).  Hopefully we will have many more opportunities this summer!

The kids had a great time, however Hoyt wasn't too fond of the cold water.  Brianna took him the first time and he bawled and then I asked her to take him the second time as I thought he would be a little more prepared for the cold water.....nahhhhh that didn't work out so well.  Hoyt kind of gave Sissy a cold shoulder after that.  Sorry Brianna!!!!

We will definitely be heading back to the splash pad for the bigger kids. They had fun playing in the water and on all of the playground equipment.  Hoyt loves to SWING!!!!  He could do that all day!!!

Helping out....I think?????

On Thursday, Kali, Hoyt, and I stopped over to help out Laura with the triplets and visit Jackson, while Cory was out of town.  I'm not really sure how much I helped since Hoyt was with me.  But it was nice to see the boys and Laura!

We also stopped over on Friday night.  For some reason, Hoyt likes to hit CJ on his head....I think it may be a jealousy thing because I'm giving my attention to the babies, but I'm not sure.  And I don't know why CJ always gets the brunt of it.  Poor little guy. :(

Here a few pictures from our visit!  I only had time to take a few and I didn't get a picture of Austin....sorry little guy.  I'll make sure to get some the next time!!

Father's Day

I'm not sure why, but I didn't get a picture of Chad with the kiddos for Father's day.  Ooooopppppssss!  I did however take a few pictures.

This Father's day was pretty low key.  We didn't end up doing anything on my side of the family because most of the family was in Burlington to watch Taylor's softball tournament.  Chad went fishing for a little while as part of his father's day gift! :)  Then we ended up going to Washburn's for a cook out!!!  It was a nice night, so we hung outside for the majority of the evening!!

Also, wanted to say HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to Mom and Dad!  It was on Sunday as well.  They celebrated their 41st Anniversary!!!!  CONGRATS!!!!

Amy's Family, Mom, Daughter's Sarah and Kelsey, and sister-in-law

Marg from Estonia suprised Amy.  Marg used to work with us at Verizon and now she is back in her native country Estonia!  Amy was MORE than suprised!!!!

Steph used to work with Amy and I at Verizon.

Amy and Dave, The happy couple!!!

Hanging Out

Friday June 17th, I was able to meet Erica's precious baby boy Eli for the first time.  Angie, Erica, Eli and I had lunch at Panera.  It was a lot of fun and Eli was so well behaved!!!  He is a little peanut!!! I know he won't stay like that for very long!!!  Eli was born May 23, 2011 and weighed 7 lbs 5 oz.
Congratulations Erica, enjoy your time off!!!

Friday evening I took the kids to watch their cousin, Alexi play softball at Central City.  Alexi played very well and ended up winning the game!!!

Kali was so excited that she met a new friend, Graylin at the ball game.  Kali loves making new friends, however she had a hard time remembering her name!

Wedding Time

Chad and I celebrated our 11th Anniversary last Thursday, June 10, 2011.  I can't believe how fast the time goes!!!

Our friends Chad and Tiffany McBurney had a destination wedding in May and had their reception at the Central City Fairgrounds on Saturday June 11.  Chad smoked the hams for the reception!  YUMMMMYYY!!!  Brianna, Hoyt, Chad and I went to the reception.  Unfortunately, the life of the party, Kali, was unable to attend because she went with Grandma and Grandpa Washburn to her cousins Reece's birthday party at a hotel and went swimming. It was pretty cute, when G & G Washburn came to pick her up she was like, "There's my ride, gotta go Mom."  I was like how old is she 4 or 14!!! LOL

We had a lot of fun at the reception!  Hoyt loved chasing the DJ lights.  He thought that was pretty cool.  Here is Hoyt and Brianna dancing!!!!

Here are some pictures I haven't blogged about.

Kali was able to get a ride in Dan McBurney's semi truck last weekend.  After getting a ride in the semi, Kali said, "This was the best day ever!!!"  Ever since Kali could talk she has been fascinated with semi trucks....don't ask me why!?!?!?  She has a love for the 18 wheelers! LOL

The week of June 13th Hoyt has really started walking.  He has been taking 7-10 steps.  They are more controlled steps!  He still seems to think he can crawl faster than walk, but I think that will be changing by next week!

Center Point Girl's Soccer

Center Point-Urbana Varsity Girl’s Soccer Team went to the Girl’s State Soccer Tournament with a 2 to 1 overtime win over the 7th ranked Solon Spartan's team on Monday June 6th.  This was the best game of soccer I have ever watched!  I'm not sure if it was because the kiddos didn't come to the game and I actually was able to watch the game, or because it was just an exceptional game!!!!  The girls played AWESOME!  The game was so intense and there was a lot of man to man defense.  CPU ended up scoring to tie it up with about 5 mins left and then we ended up scoring to win in OT play.  It was incredible!!!!  There isn't many games that you watch in 97 degrees and you get goose bumps each time CPU scored!!!!  It was just amazing!!!!  It was the BEST game!!!!  Mom and I enjoyed ourselves!!!!

Brianna is in the first row on her knees, number 11!!!!  WAY TO GO BRIANNA!!!!!

On Thrusday, we were off to STATE in Muscatine.  Center Point played Davenport Assumption (rated 2nd).  Although CPU lost 1-0, they played very well.  It was just an honor for them to have gone to State after only 6 seasons of soccer at CPU.

I think Brianna had the biggest cheering section at the State game, Michelle, Bill, Dixie, Chad and I, Dolores, Savannah, Tasha, Tasha's boyfriend Brian, Natalie, Quinten and Audrey.

I am so glad Brianna ended her high school sports career going to State!!!  That is just an amazing accomplishment.  We are so proud of you, Brianna!!!  We will so miss going to all your sporting events!  We had so much fun and enjoyed watching you in every sport you competed in!!!  GREAT JOB!!!!!

Memorial Day Weekend

I'm a little behind in my post.  We have been busy with graduations, hanging out with family, and going to some type of sporting event...whether that is going to soccer or softball games!!

Memorial Day weekend Laura and I celebrated our birthday.  We hadn't all four been out since our last birthday, so we definitely made the most of it!!!  Dolores watched our kids at our house and Mom and Dad watched the Popelka boys.  We are very thankful to have awesome and helpful grandparents in our children's lives!!

We started off by going to Chrome Horse and then we went to Tornado's!

The cab ride home!  I think we were all pretty happy!!!  Cory was in the front seat playing the cabby's guitar!!!  We have fun no matter where we are!!! LOL :)

On Memorial Day, Mom and Dad had a cook out to celebrate the holiday and our birthdays.  It was a nice day, great company, and yummy food!  All 3 triplets were able to make it.  It was a very special day!!!  Kali was a little late, and she wasn't in any of the photos because Grandma Dolores, took her to see Pirates of the Caribbean movie at the theater and out for ice cream.  Kali loved the movie and of course the ice cream!!!!
