Stay off the Streets....Savannah is now 14!!!

Happy14th Birthday Savannah!!!  I can't believe Savannah is already 14...unbelievable!  We celebrated Savannah's birthday by going to Biaggis.  It was a lot of fun...yummy food, great family, and the wine was pretty tasty too!!!  There were a lot of kids at our table and they behaved perfectly!!

Kali tried muscles for the first time.  She LOVED them, but I also think she loved playing with the clams!!  I tried them for the first time too, and they were actually pretty good!!!  I was suprised!!

After we got home, Kali and Hoyt had to try on Daddy's boots.  I think every kid has a picture in their father's boots.....I know we do anyway....maybe that isn't the norm, but it is in our family!!!!

Bathtub Fun!!!

Kali and Hoyt shared a bath for the first time this week.  Normally I give Hoyt a bath in his little tub while Kali plays in her tub.  But they both enjoyed taking a bath together.  Hoyt was a little apprehensive at first and then once he started splashing, he had a great time.

Friends

Amy and Dave, or "BIG DAVE" as Kali calls him stopped over Saturday night.  I think Kali has a little crush on Dave...and we were all amazed but Hoyt didn't cry when Dave held him.  We had a great time hanging out with friends!   It was very much needed...as when the kids went to bed, the adutls were able to relax and enjoy ourselves!!!

I'm not sure why I only ended up getting pictures of Hoyt with Amy and Dave....I'll have to work at that next time and get some pictures of Kali.

Watching CJ

On Friday, Ben was getting a procedure done to check his kidneys, as when he was in the NICU he had recurrent UTI's and had some urine that would back up into his kidneys.  The scan  on Friday showed a small amount of urine that was still backing up, however antibiotics should fix.  The rest of Ben's kidney function was normal and he won't need to be checked for another year.

My visit was cut short as I had to pick up my kids from daycare.  So as soon as Laura came in, I was taking off.  But I was able to get one quick picture of Ben...or least I think it was Ben........LOL!

Spring

Last week we enjoyed the wonderful weather.  We grilled out, Kali test drove her new scooter she got for her birthday, and we ventured out to look at Shawn/Kindra's horse that they have at Don and Dolores's house.  Spring is definitely in the air!!!

Hoyt also learned a new trick, he started biting the spoon when I feed him.  He thinks it is the funniest thing.  He will belly laugh the entire time he is biting it.  His laugh is so contagious.

Update

Kali had her 4 year wellness check last week and she weighed 38.8 lbs and was 40 3/4 in length.  My regular nurse was out of the office so I didn't get the normal sticker with the percentages, so I took the liberty of looking it up online.  From the US Growth Chart, Kali is 75 percentile for both height and weight.  If she continues to grow like she has been she will be 5 ft 6 inches.....heck I can live with that!!!!  Keep drinking your milk Kali, I want you to tower over me!!!  I know that won't be very hard!

Hoyt is a master chef/cook in the kitchen (like his daddy)!  Honestly he just loves getting into things.  He can only take a little while in his walker and exersaucer these days.  He prefers being down and into everything.  I really think that is the difference between boys and girls....boys start out destructive and very curious to check out every drawer, cupboard, and every small morsel on the floor.  These days, Hoyt's favorite thing to do is to put those Japanese beetles (brown lady bugs) in his mouth.  Boy you can definitely smell them on his breath....and let me tell ya, he makes it hard to get anything out of his mouth once it is in there.  He is very tight lipped!!! LOL!

I'm really not sure why we even buy little ones toys!!!  Bowls can act as stacking toys and drums!!

Kali's Birthday Party

Kali picked out her beautiful outfit for one of her birthday presents!!!  She looked all grown up!!  I thought this picture was just the sweetest and it showed Kali's true personality.  Savannah was nice enough to do her hair and makeup for the BIG day!!

Kali was very lucky this year and her Daddy baked and decorated a beautiful Barbie Cake.  He did a fabulous job (way better than I could of done) and Kali was very suprised!

Kali had a wonderful turn out of friends and family!  We are so blessed to have such wonderful people in our life!!  It means so much to us to have people share in Kali's special day!!  We can't thank you enough!

Jackson was getting a little sleepy watching Kali open her presents!

Hoyt loved having the BIG space to scoot along in his walker!  He is a speedster!!

Kali had a fabulous time opening her gifts.  She was very animated and expressive with each gift she opened.  When she opened the 7 Disney princess gift set from her sissy Kali said, "This is the best thing I could have ever wanted."  Then when she opened the Tangled dress from Grandma Holub, she said, "Now I can go to the ball!".  As you can tell she really liked the dress as Kali is seen wearing it in half the pictures!!

One of the sweetest things Kali said before blowing out her candles is she wished for good friends!!!!  Kali can be very sassy and full of attitude, but she has the BIGGEST heart!!!  No matter how old she is she will always be our sweet little princess!!

KALI Turns 4 years old on 3/3/2011

Happy Birthday Kali!!!!  I can't believe she is already 4.  Seems like yesterday that we just had her!!!  Thursday was Kali's birthday.  She started off her birthday morning by daddy cooking her homemade waffles in bed!! (One of Kali's favorites).

Then as soon as Kali's best friend (Kathryn) got off the bus, I picked them up and they had a day of beauty at Capri.  They got their hair and nails done!!  They were quite the DIVAS!!!

Before Pics

Starting the process

Hair looking beautiful!!!

Getting their nails done!

DIVAS!!!!

Time is Beauty....however being a school night, we didn't have time to do much else....so we went to our house to open presents and eat pizza.  Once the girls got home, they immediately headed for the "dress up" clothes.  They had sooooo much fun!!!

Kali was very suprised to find out that her brother, Hoyt, got her the special baby doll, "Baby Alive All Gone " that she had been wanting.  Kali said, "How did Hoyt know I wanted that.  He is the BEST brother ever!!!"  It was pretty cute!!

Overall, Kali had a wonderful BIRTHDAY.  Thank you Kathryn for being apart of Kali's special day!  There is still more to come....Kali's Birthday party is on Saturday!!!
