Sneak Peak!

We weren't 100% sure that we were going to take the kids last night trick or treating in Alburnett, but Kali won a bet that she had with her Dad, so we ended up taking the kids.  It was a pretty quick occasion as by the time we got there it was a little chilly.  The big night however will be tonight.

Brianna did Kali's hair and make up and did Hoyt's make up while I held him down!!!  They are a pretty cute pair!!!  Thanks so much Brianna for your help!!!  YOU WERE WONDERFUL!!!  Plus, she signed up to help me again today!!!  What a sweetheart!!!!

And no, that isn't Rocco in Kali's basket it is a stuffed dog! LOL!!!  Daddy didn't get a pictures of Kali's ruby slippers.....we will have to get that tonight...it made the costume.

Here is Rocco biting Hoyt's tail....It was pretty funny!!!

On Saturday, Gma Dolores, Kali, and I also went to Savannah's dance/pom competition at Praire.  Savannah did AWESOME and Alburnett got 1st in Class 1A!!!! WAY TO GO SAVANNAH!!!

ALL SKATE.....Anyone!?!?!?

Does everyone remember Super Skate???? Well, it is still open and it hasn't changed very much in 20 years!!!

Tasha and Brian invited all the nieces and nephews to go rollerskating at Super Skate.  Unfortunately, Kali, Azaria, and Reese were the only ones that were able to go last Saturday.

Kali had a great time and she picked it up quickly...I was quite surprised!  I think we have a roller derby girl in the making!!!! LOL :)  She spent most of the time in the little skating rank, but she did venture out on the BIG floor several times!!!  It was so fun watching her and all the other kids....even the BIG kids (Tasha, Shawn, and Kindra) had a lot of fun skating.  I wasn't able to skate because I had to watch Hoyt, but I hope next time I will be able to skate with Kali...it really did look like a lot of fun!!!!

Hoyt had a good time while we were there.  He had a lot of snacks and was able to run around a little.  He visited the girls in the little skating rank!  I'm sure it won't be long and he will be roller skating too!  Thanks so much Tasha and Brian!!! Rollerskating was a good idea!!! I wished the older kids would have been able to make it!  Maybe next time!!!

Visiting the Triplets

It has been a while since I have seen my 3 little guys, so I went over on Friday afternoon to visit Jordan and the triplets!  They are definitely growing.

CJ cheeks have slimmed down and he has gotten more hair....however it doesn't photograph well.  It's light like Hoyt's hair!

Ben is speedy on his walker....Holy Cow.....If he sees something he wants he's all after it!!!!  He also, loved my camera case!  Who needs toys!!!!

Austin has filled out a lot.  He is doing a good job sitting up and he gets into the crawling position.  He does this cute little "Webster" laugh.  He is soooo Happy.  Boy do all of the triplets love Jordan!!!!  They are lucky to have her!

It was a nice visit!!!  I can't believe they are almost a year old.....crazy how time flies!!!!

18 Month Checkup

Hoyt had his 18 month check up on Thursday!  I can't believe he is already 1 1/2 years old!!!  He is growing up so fast!

As soon as Hoyt saw his nurse, he was apprehensive about everything.  He didn't want to take off his clothes or he didn't want to sit on the table.  He kept pulling at his clothes telling me no no, or mine!  He was  not happy!  It's like he remembered getting shots at his 1 year appointment.....I really think that was the case.  He is such a smart little guy, I don't think we give them enough credit!

Hoyt weighed 23 lbs 13 oz (22 percentile) and was 32 inches long (41%).

Grandpa's Farm, Meeting Rocco, and Playtime

Last weekend was a busy weekend.  The kids and I went to visit Grandpa Holub at the farm.  The kids had a great time taking a ride on the gator, seeing the cows, eating junk food, and getting spoiled!  We even drove by Grandma and Grandpa's new house that they bought a mile or so away from the farm!

We also have a new addition to the family........Rocco

Yes, Brianna got a new puppy that she picked out and bought on her very own!!!  Isn't he just the cutest little puppy!  I have talked to Brianna this week and Rocco has adjusted nicely and she says he sleeps very well and is pretty lazy for the most part!  I hope this continues as Brianna likes her sleep!!!  We told Brianna we would babysit him!!!  Kali was in love with Rocco, and of course wanted one for her very own, but we told her that Brianna would be bringing it over every Sunday so she would have time to play and cuddle with him.

On Sunday, Kali, Kathryn, and Tayten had a play date....so that means Jill and I had a mommy play date too!!!!  The play date was way over due.  The kids have really missed each other since they were used to seeing each other every day at Daycare.  They had a lot of fun!!!

I love this picture, they were doing a funny pose!  However, I just took this picture at the end of their play date, doesn't Kathryn look annoyed!!! LOL!!!!

Field Trip to Sander's Pumpkin Farm

Homecoming week for CPU. Preschoolers also get to dress up for the occasion.  Monday was crazy socks!

Monday 10/10/2011 was Kali's first field trip to Sander's Pumpkin Farm in Vinton, Iowa.  It was also Kali's first time riding a school bus.  She had a great time and it was such a beautiful day, Daddy and I joined in on the fun!!!  We wouldn't miss her first field trip.

They had pot belly pigs, turkey's, ducks, ostriches and tons of pumpkins.  Each preschooler was able to pick their own pumpkin.  The Sander's said the entire month of October, they have 2 field trips a day, one in the morning and another in the afternoon and one pumpkin to give each student!!!  HOLY COW that's a lot of pumpkins!

Kali's Class

Below is one of Kali's good friends, Lilly!!  I also, found out that Lilly's mom, Jen and I both work at Verizon.  Another one of Kali's friends, McCoy's (who isn't in Kali's preschool class, but does go to Pointer Pup Care with her) mom also works at Verizon.  I thought that was pretty strange!

Bloomsbury Farm

Each year it is our tradition to take Kali to Bloomsbury Farm and this year Hoyt was also able to go.  Unfortunately, Daddy wasn't feeling well, so he couldn't make it, but Grandma Dolores and Aunt Savannah were able to join us and enjoy the beautiful fall day!

Kali and Hoyt by the pot belly pigs!

Kali and Hoyt enjoyed the water pumps doing the duck races!

Hoyt really enjoyed himself all afternoon, but he really didn't cooperate when taking pictures....he is quite the people watcher and that was way more important!!!

We all had a great time at Bloomsbury Farm!!!!

A couple of random pictures from the weekend.

We also went to my niece, Katelyn's softball game, but silly me didn't take any pictures.  Katelyn played a good game and they won 3-1!!!  Go Katelyn!!!!

My next post will be Kali's first class field trip to Sanders Pumpkin Farm in Vinton...............
