TRICK OR TREAT

Thursday wasn't the best weather for trick or treating.  I think the day before and the day after Halloween would have been perfect weather wise, we just didn't get that lucky this year. But, it could have been worse, it could have been raining.  The kids weren't feeling the best this year.  They both had colds, so I think we only trick-or-treated for about 30-45 minutes.

Kali was a Candy Corn Caster and Hoyt was a cowboy!  Go figure!!! :)

The kids really didn't need to do much trick or treating because Brianna and Clint spoiled them with a bucket full of candy and fun things!!! Thank you Sissy and Clint!!!!

Nash's 1st Halloween.  He was Count Cutie!!!  I think he pulled that off really well.  Nash also started walking on Halloween day!!!  How awesome is that!

I love this picture of Hoyt...so natural!!!  Howdy Partner!

Kali looking like a pro!!!

In action!! :)

Brianna and Rocko!

Hoyt loved this ghost!!! :)

Grandma and Grandpa Holub were able to come visit.  The kids had most of their costumes off, so we had to do a quick dress up!  Couldn't see Hoyt's eyes...so took another pic.

I hope everyone else had a great Halloween!!!

Fall Fun

Friday October 18th, the kids and visited Cathy (the kid's first babysitter)!  Hoyt had been missing her soooo much!!!  He loved visiting her.  He didn't want to leave.  He said, "Mommy you can go home, I'm staying here!"  We also were able to see Cathy's granddaughter, Presely.  It was great seeing the both of them!

On Saturday October 19th, we headed to Bart's Farm in Alburnett to pick out our pumpkins.  This was our first visit to Bart's farm.  It was a short trip however, as we didn't realize the horse/pony rides were only from 10-2 on the weekends.  The kids picked out their pumpkins.  Daddy's rule was if they could carry them they could have them! :)

That night, the kids picked out what they wanted on their pumpkins and got to work scooping out the insides of the pumpkins.  I think that was the only jobs the kids had in this process....as Daddy actually did all the carving himself.  I think this was more Daddy's project than the kiddos...actually the kids fell asleep while Daddy worked on the 2nd pumpkin! HA!!!!

Hoyt's Pumpkin!

Didn't they turn out great!!! :)  Good job Daddy!!!

On Sunday we went back to Bart's farm so that the kids could ride the horses.  They had sooo much fun!!!  This was definitely Hoyt's thing!!!  They both picked to ride the horses instead of the pony!  Hoyt wanted to go first!

It was a fun afternoon!

Last Saturday 10/26/2013, Chad and I decided to divide and conquer.  I took Kali to the PTO carnival and Chad took Hoyt to a buddies house to carve pumpkins and play some games.  Kali and I met up with them after the carnival and I won the prize for guessing how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop......any guesses......I guessed 303 and the actual number from google was 252!
