First Day of School for Kali and Hoyt

Kali and Hoyt's first day of their new daycare at Susan's was Monday August 18th. They love going there!!!
Kali's first day of 2nd grade was Tuesday August 19th.  Kali picked out her outfit for the first day of school.  I was surprised when we went shopping that she picked a dress....she used to never wear anything but a dress, but the last year she prefers to go more casual!  Doesn't she look beautiful!!!

Kali got a little teary eyed when she got on the bus :(  I think she was a little nervous....

But getting off the bus, she saw some friends and she was fine!!!

Kali in her classroom!!!

I love this pic!!!  EVERYTHING IS GREAT AND COULDN'T BE BETTER!!!

Hoyt's 1st day of 4-year Preschool was Monday August 25th.  Hoyt goes to preschool Monday thru Thursday from 8:30 to 11:20.

Hoyt was super excited.  He wasn't scared at all.  I think it helped that he went to 3 yr-Preschool.

Kali was a great BIG sister and held his hand while we walked to his room!!

Where did summer go??????

Sorry, I have been terrible about not posting to my blog.  We have just been busy and summer went entirely too fast.  I decided to post a few pictures from this summer since it is now officially fall!!!

The below picture was on our 14th Anniversary on June 10th. Grandpa Holub won 4 tickets to the Kernel's game and decided to give them to us.  The kids had a great time.  It was a little chilly that night, but we snuggled! :)

The below pics are some of Kali and Hoyt playing around.  They really play great together!!! :)

Do you remember doing this to your shirts when you were little!?!?!? Hoyt is going to kill Kali for doing it to his shirt when he gets older....or kill me for taking a picture. :)

At Cherry Hill pool!  The kids are little fishies!!!  They love ot swim.

At Brad and Becky's pool.  Jackson and Kali!

The kids did the rodeo again this year.  This year Kali moved up from a calf to a little bull....yah it was a little much for her (would have been for me too) and the rodeo clown didn't have a hold of her like he should of.....Kali didn't stay on for too long and face planted in the dirt!  She had a few tears, but she said she wanted to do it again next year...but with a calf! :)  Hoyt did really good too!  He got a calf and stayed on.  Hoyt is definitely fearless!!!  The kids had a lot of fun and we were very proud of their courage!!!! Good job Kali and Hoyt!!!

Jordan tutored Kali several times this summer with her reading.  Kali worked really hard in 1st grade on her reading and she made major accomplishments.  We didn't want Kali to lose what she had worked so hard for, so we wanted her to continue this summer!!!  Thanks, Jordan!!!

The Washburn's  made their sauerkraut again this year!!  The kids enjoyed mixing the kraut in the crocks...and taking a few nibbles. Hoyt loves cabbage....I think he ate it by the handful!!!  Sorry, I didn't get any pictures of Hoyt :(

Hoyt could go fishing every day if you would let him!!  He definitely is going to be like his Daddy and love to fish and hunt!!

Hoyt got his big boy bed!!!  He has slept in it a handful of times....he still likes to sleep with Mommy.  Hopefully, soon both kids will be out of our bed!!!  WE HOPE SO!!!!

Next post will be the kid's first day of school!!!  I'm gonna try to get caught up and do frequent posts!!!  Try is the key word!!! :)
