Weekend of Firsts

On Friday, July 20th, Grandpa Holub won tickets to the Kernels game and gave them to our family.  We were all going to go as a family, but Chad couldn't go so Grandma Holub graciously accepted the invitation.  The weather was amazing, especially since it has been so HOT and muggy, and our seats were awesome!!!

It was the kids first Kernels game.  Hoyt LOVED it.  There was so much stuff for him to look at and watch.   He was very entertained.  Kali enjoyed it too, but wanted to get up a lot to check out everything.  Kali can not miss a beat.

The beginning of the game didn't start off too well.  I went to go get refreshments and Gma watched the kiddos. Gma's earring fell off and rolled down the stands and had to ask people in front of them to get it, Hoyt fell down in between the seats and his leg got stuck, then I arrived, with the refreshments and Kali went to take the popcorn out of my hands and it fell on the ground...this was all before the National Anthem.  I think there may have been a couple more things that I am forgetting.....but after all the fiasco...everything went smooth sailing from there! :)

The kids got balloons and their hair colored!

They danced and cheered with their hands in the air!

Kali got her picture taken with Shucks....Hoyt was a little nervous and didn't want to get his picture taken!

They had their first Stadium Hotdog!!!

Kali got her face painted, the lady was just wrapping up her stuff, so only had time for one more face...Poor Hoyt...he didn't seem to mind, he got a batman mask instead!  I was surprised he liked it as typically he is not a fan of masks!!!

They got to play on the blow up play ground!

It was a great night at the ball park!!! Thank you Gpa Holub for the tickets!!!!!  We definitely will be going back!!!

On Saturday, 7/21, we headed to our friends, Amy and Dave's house for a summer block party, where both kids were able to do another first.....they both got a ride on Dave's Harley!!  Hoyt loved it!  It was so cute Dave sat Hoyt in front of him and then started up the motor, and Hoyt's cheeks jiggled from the engine....It was so freakin cute!!!

Amy and Dave and 2 bikes!!

There isn't a mower that Hoyt doesn't sit on or try to ride!!!! :)

Dave's oldest daughter, Britanee with Kali sittng in Dave's BIG chair!!!

Below is my favorite picture of the night.....AIR HOYT

Kali had to hang on the rim too!!!!  She loves the monkey bars!!!

It was a great night and it has been wwaaaayyyy too long that we have hung out with Amy and Dave.  We always have so much fun when we do!!
